Nanos moderates comments once they have been posted to the eConsultation site. We do not censor comments based on political or ideological points of view. We reserve the right to edit or delete those comments that include the following transgressions:

• a comment is abusive, off-topic, or uses excessive or foul language;
  
• a comment is racist, sexist, homophobic or includes other slurs;
  
• a comment is posted with the explicit intention of provoking other participants, the project client or the staff at Nanos Research;
  
• a comment includes ad hominem attacks such as celebrating the death or illness of any person, public figure or otherwise;
  
• a comment solicits and/or advertises a personal blog and/or website; or,
  
• a comment uses thread spamming (a participant has posted the same comment elsewhere on the site).
  

We also reserve the right to suspend or terminate the accounts of persons who fail to abide by this moderation policy.

Our Privacy Policy

All personal information collected by this site is used solely for the purposes of operating the online consultation. The final content submitted to Industry Canada and Canadian Heritage does not contain any personally identifiable information, including but not limited to email addresses and first and last names.

Please note that personal email addresses collected by this site are for the purposes of verifying participant registration, managing the login processes, and administering the online consultation process. Personal e-mail addresses collected by this site will be deleted after the consultation process has been completed. No other personally-identifiable information will be collected by the Industry Canada, Canadian Heritage or by Nanos as part of this online consultation process.

Nanos Research does not disclose personal information to any third parties, unless authorized to do so by the person who owns that information or by force of law. Consultation participants should be aware that they may themselves disclose personally identifiable information in their discussion postings and that the security and privacy protections in place on this site and through the service provided herein do not cover this type of transfer or disclosure of personal information.

Registered users making or responding to discussion forum postings or other types of submissions are solely responsible for the content. Nanos requires the use of all discussion forum postings for the purposes of operating this online consultation.

Nanos Research will not sell, distribute, publish or otherwise disclose your personally identifying information without your express permission, unless required to do so by law.

Nanos Research stores personal information of registered users in secure databases protected by passwords as well as database and network firewalls to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of personal information. Nanos Research retains personal information only as long as necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes of this consultation.

You can notify us at any time to remove your personal information from our database by emailing us at privacy@nanosresearch.com. If you do that, we will not keep any personally identifiable records concerning you unless required to do so by law.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

Nanos’ privacy policy is subject to change from time to time in accordance with Canada’s privacy legislation, the standards of Marketing Research and Intelligence Association and company best practices.
